Dr. Michael Seiba is a leader in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive  Endourologic Surgery having completed his fellowship at The New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell University Medical Center. He clerked at Johns Hopkins and Stanford under renowned urologic leaders. He has published the American Urological Association (AUA) Update Series, an elite monthly periodical used for educating urologists worldwide. Additionally, he co-authored other publications on urologic disease and participated in teaching formal American Urologic Association courses on hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Seiba is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and Fellow American College of Surgeons. Board certification is an official recognition given to physicians who have met specific requirements set by medical specialty boards in the United States. Board certification should be a top consideration when choosing a urologist as it indicates the physician is highly qualified in practicing the specialty. A board-certified physician is more likely than a non-board-certified physician to have the most current skills and knowledge about treating your condition.

The designation, FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon's name signifies that the surgeon's education, training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the highest standards established and demanded by the American College of Surgeons.

Men’s Health

Urologists are the ultimate specialists in men’s health, optimally trained clinicians and surgeons assisting men, of all ages, with issues such as erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, hypogonadism, low energy, Peyronie's disease and all aspects of andropause (men’s menopause). Hormone therapy (pellet implants, injections, creams) have been very successful in treating those who suffer from the aforementioned symptoms.  Surgical management such as penile implants, and minimally invasive management such as penile injection therapy are other alternatives offered only by urologists.

Pellet implants, in particular, have revolutionized hormonal management in both men and women. Depending on the calculated dosage, pellets can provide extremely effective results lasting many months. Due to it’s lasting effects, the popularity of pellets has superceded that of bi-weekly hormonal injections. Since pellets are not suitable for all patients, a detailed discussion with a urologist is warranted.
